  17. I use a USRobotics Sporster 28.8 external modem under Windows 3.1. For 
  18. some reason, the modem does not get intialized and dial the number the 
  19. first time I use either Prodigy or Netscape. I have to either click com2 
  20. under control panel (without changing any setting), or click "bye" from 
  21. the trumpet dialer, and then it will start to work the second time I 
  22. invoke the same application. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
